The engine and colletThe dc motor for our drill is really very cheap . On Aliexpress you can find it for only 300 rubles. Meanwhile, it consumes 1.4 A, which means its power will be equal to 16.8 W. This is quite enough for such equipment, given that the engine is able to accelerate to 23,000 r / min. Motor shaft with a diameter of 3 mm,and it is necessary to pick up the collet chuck. It is fixed on the shaft with a hexagon screw. The collet is clamped with an open-end wrench and stopper of the cartridge itself.
PVC pipeWith regular cloth for metal or a hacksaw, we cut a 15 cm length of PVC pipe. We clean the edges with sandpaper from burrs. The motor housing must fit tightly into the pipe. If there are gaps, they must be eliminated using gaskets, for example, from a rubber camera for a bicycle.
End capsFrom the segment of Plexiglas, Plexiglas or fiberglass we make end caps-plugs.The author used a milling cutter to drill out outer circles. They can be cut out with a simple hacksaw, adjusting the size and cleaning the edges with sandpaper. There should be holes in the center of both plugs for the collet chuck and connector for charging batteries. The circumference of the plugs should overlap the PVC tube.
Mounting the engineExtend the chuck hole to the desired diameter with a round file or file. Fasten the engine to one of the plugs by making holes for fastening it to the screws. They can be made with a small drill and a screwdriver. Sit stubs on superglue for plastic.
BatteriesYou can get enough voltage with the help of two lithium-polymer batteries. Batteries from an old laptop will do. Connecting them in series and wrapping tape. We withdraw the contacts from the copper insulated wire to the engine through a button-switch.

Putting the elements togetherFirst we connect the slider, solder the wiring and isolate the contact group with shrinking. The engine with a collet chuck is fixed on the cover, and the button switch is mounted on the side of the case with glue, making a hole under it and leveling it with a file. The connected batteries should ideally fit into the size of the PVC tube. Completes the assembly of a 5.5 mm connector for charging the batteries. It is attached to the back cover with a clamping nut. Solder the contacts from the batteries to the connector, insulating with shrink tubes. The joints of the plugs and the tube can be additionally passed with superglue, and cleaned with sandpaper.
